Book Review: Malibu Rising

I finished another book in a week.

I'm really proud of myself.

Taylor Jenkins Reid might be my favorite fiction writer.

I'm so excited some of her novels are being brought to the screen.

You ever fall in love with characters and wonder how they look?

Malibu Rising had its ups and downs for me.

Overall, I rate it 4/5 stars.

Reid's writing will forever pull you right in.

She describes human experiences brilliantly.

This book is a story about a set of famous siblings--about their lives and how they all intertwine in the city of Malibu. It wasn't my favorite read. It's set in one night, which means there are a lot of details. Details I don't need to understand or appreciate the point. I grew a little bored and impatient at the end. I knew a fire was coming, and when it did I felt, "that's it"?

Still 4/5 stars because Reid is a genius writer, the stories of these characters are captivating and relatable. You crave to know them, and you get to know them quite well.
