Sabbath Routines

and these are some things I do to set myself up to have a successful sabbath

1. Choose a day. My weeks go from Sunday to Saturday so I choose a day within a week, each week.
2. Tidy anything I’d be tempted to clean (bathroom, kitchen, living room, etc) shoving it into a closet is acceptable, out of sight, out of mind.
3. Easy to make food or premade meals
4. Zero appointments even if they’re fun (I’m most flexible with this one depending on what I need. Sometimes it’s filling to go somewhere with friends or family.)
5. Choose one thing to look forward to enjoy during sabbath. This time it’s my favorite DIY iced coffee 😌

the purpose of prepping is to avoid excuses during sabbath. I don’t do well with quiet time or reading the Bible so of course cleaning my bathroom sounds more attractive all of a sudden.
